The following 5 years were spent in Australia and the UK working in factory automation. She returned to UNSW in 2005 to study a Master of Engineering on the integration of wind farms into electricity markets and power systems

Filita Barker 's ME thesis is entitled 'A critique and analysis of Australia's approach to wind energy integration with a comparison to North America and Europe'.
