Stuart obtained undergraduate degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the UNSW in 1999. He commenced a part time PhD in 2003. Stuart also works in the electricity industry as a software engineer and consultant for Intelligent Energy Systems. His PhD research is focused on developing a framework within which to consider issues that arise in electricity industry restructuring. One of a number of specific issues his work has considered is the issue of integrating intermittent resources including wind into restructured electricity industries with a focus on issues for ancillary services and the management of power system security.
