Wind Energy Forecasting

Welcome to the home page of the wind energy forecasting strand of the WINDFORNEM project.

The researchers for this strand are Iain MacGill, Hugh Outhred, Nicholas Cutler, Merlinde Kay and Muhammad Khalid.

The goals of this strand are to:

  • Research, develop and test a new wind energy forecasting method (or new part of) in relation to Australia’s wind energy forecasting needs.
  • Complement and build on the work being done in the AGO’s WEFC program delivering a wind energy forecasting framework/system for the National Electricity Market.
