Janendra Prasad

Janendra is a PhD Candidate Researcher in School of Photovoltaics and Renewable Energy Engineering (SPREE) and CEEM at UNSW.  His research interest includes economic optimisation of renewable energy, technical integration of high penetration of renewable energy in electricity grids and sustainable energy solutions. Janendra is an experienced Electrical Engineer with over 25 years of engineering and management experience working for private sector and utilities in Australia and the Pacific Islands. His previous roles have been in power system design and operations, asset strategy, project development and capacity building while delivering innovative and cost-effective engineering solutions. Janendra has a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical and Electronics) from University of Canterbury, MBA in Technology Management from LaTrobe University, Graduate Certificate in Electricity Supply from QUT and a Diploma in Contract Management. He is a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng, NER) of Engineers Australia and a RPEQ with Board of Professional Engineers Queensland.
