Scott Watts

School of Electrical Engineering and Telecommunications
Scott is a PhD student in CEEM and the School of Electrical Engineering and Telecommunications. His research focuses on integrating distributed energy resources, with a particular emphasis on rooftop PV, into distribution networks. This covers a spectrum of associated issues faced in both a technical and market-based sense. His aim is to bridge the gap between industry and academic worlds through incorporating market structures and regulations into modern control systems to investigate ways to better utilise existing DER for minimising the cost of energy for end users.
Scott has a Bachelor's and Master's degree in electrical engineering from the University of New South Wales and has worked as an electrical engineering consultant.
