Mohsen holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from UNSW, completed between May 2017 and March 2023. His research focused on intelligent transport technologies to reduce transport emissions, including the impact of autonomous and connected vehicles, transport electrification, and the role of electric vehicles (EVs) in emission reduction through smart charging, bidirectional charging, and optimisation techniques. He specialised in developing a novel LSTM-based machine learning model, which he trained and improved over five years to analyse, forecast, and perform multi-objective optimisation.
With over 15 years of industry experience in the energy and transport sectors as a technical manager, Mohsen also holds a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from UPM University in Malaysia.
