Overview

Public kerbside charging networks are crucial for supporting a fast and fair transition to electric vehicles. This project provides data and insights into the operation of Australia's largest publicly owned kerbside charging network in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney. This network is owned and operated by Waverley, Woollahra and Randwick Councils and has served over 27 thousand charging sessions in the six months from September 2025 to February 2026.

Our research seeks to identify what contributes to kerbside chargers creating strong value for drivers, communities, and all energy consumers.
