Shubhankar is a Research Associate at the Centre for Energy and Environmental Markets (CEEM) at UNSW. He holds a PhD from the Australian National University, where he specialised in modelling distribution grids and estimating distribution system network parameters. His research focuses on power systems modelling and applying data science techniques to develop open-source tools for energy systems. Currently, Shubhankar is developing analytical tools to assess the Emergency Backstop mechanism and evaluate its impact on grid stability and customer benefits.
